Who are you :

My name is Kubra Aslan . I’m from Istanbul,Turkey. I’m currently living in Toronto, ON.

Your current job :

I’m a freelance illustrator/graphic designer. I’ve been doing some freelance illustration work recently and doing some illustration focused work on editorial design for magazines. I’ve also have been doing motion graphic design for some video companies.

In which city are you located?

Toronto, ON.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :

I’m quite fast and well-organized. Always busy.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

Firstly sketchbook and pencil and illustrator,Photoshop, Spotify for my music.

What does your office space look like?

 My office (my room). The most important thing is my favourite sketches which I always have on  me. But currently my office is everywhere that gives me inspiration along side with a cup of coffee.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?

Many of our clients are musicians. I can listening to everything, from  alternative rock to pop-punk, folk rock Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Foo Fighters, Radiohead, The Black Keys.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?

I sometimes make a to-do list to organize my day but my days are always different..

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?

Keep going!

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?

A to-do list. Everyday is different but usually I walk around the streets and try to be inspired by everything.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?

I usually work until about 6pm and finish my day by watching a movie/TV series.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without? 

Wacom inkling and iPod (it’s not dead).
