Your current job :
Graphic designer, illustrator & art director at my own studio: Liefhebber Graphic Design. I focus on small campaigns (on- and offline), music related projects and identities. Recently I started to make more and more silkscreen- and risograph prints.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Macbook, wacom, scanner, camera, indesign, illustrator, photoshop, after effects and there’s always some ink, pencils and paper on my desk.
What does your office space look like?
I work in a shared studio space in an industrial building. Sharing it with 7 other freelancing people. So it’s not completely my own but it’s great.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
I listen to old music, new music, funk, electronic, alternative, hip-hop, afrobeat. I keep an eye (and ear) on mixcloud and soundcloud. Right now I’m listening to https://soundcloud.com/a-benini
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I try to focus on one project each day (which is impossible). I also keep in mind that I don’t have to reply to e-mails immediately so I’m not distracted all the time.
What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Break down everything you have to do in small portions, specify all steps needed to result into the final product.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
Everything you put extra time into and truly create yourself is added value.
What is your best tip for saving time ?
I always put more time into my projects than needed (although it usually pays off). But one thing I can say for sure is be careful with blogs and social media.
What is your routine start and end of the day ?
When I wake up I check and reply e-mail with a cup of good coffee at home, then I get to my office and work all day. I don’t have any routine in the evenings.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
My Fujifilm x-e1 camera.
