I am Claus Due – graphic designer and founder of Designbolaget.
Your current job :
I have had my own studio for 12 years now – doing graphic design and art direction. We are working mostly in the cultural section. Doing publications, catalogues and visual identities for museums and cultural institutions.
In which city are you located?
Copenhagen, Denmark.

Computer, phone and my stereo
What does your office space look like?
It is an open space studio – cosy – lots of books, records. Coffee and candy in the closet . .
What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
All kinds really – we are all music lovers at the studio so we play everything from Country and Jazz to electronic and Hip Hop.
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I am a father of 2 kids so I have to work within office hours which means getting the most out of the time. So everything is about planning and focusing on what to do.As a creative it is important to have a good work flow and that does not come by itself – you have to make room for it.
What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Try to be as organized as possible.

Everything and nothing.
What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
Take two aspirins before going to bed and you want have a headache in the morning.
What is your best tip for saving time ?
Stop doing interviews to designblogs, ha! ha!
What is your routine start and end of the day ?
I am visiting the same coffee bar every morning on my way to work. Buying a coffee to go – check into the studio at 8 – putting on some music – turning on my computer – getting e-mails out of the way and then start designing.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
I am not a gadget man – I do not own anything besides my computer and my phone.
