IT’S NEW YORK LIT NIGHT IN MONTREAL
~ PART II ~
The first New York Lit Night back in August was such a positive and ridiculously well-received experience that we were able to put together a sequel for you, featuring five new writers from the New York area, all visiting, I think, Montreal for the first time.
Part two will feature a cool lineup of:
—> ANDREW DUNCAN WORTHINGTON, the founding editor of magazine KEEP THIS BAG AWAY FROM CHILDREN and the author of WALLS, a very solid novel published last year by CCM.
—> SOPHIA LE FRAGA, a poet and visual artist whose work has been featured by The Poetry Foundation, Dazed & Confused, Jacket2 and many other publications. Her collection LITERALLYDEAD will be published later this year by Spork Press.
—> MAGGIE LEE, a grown woman, dog mom and very funny Twitter person whose work has appeared in Shabby Doll House & many other publications.
—> BEN NADLER, a writer and teacher whose publications include the poetry chapbook THE MEN WHO WORK UNDER THE GROUND.
–> JAMESON FITZPATRICK, the author of the chapbook MORRISROE: ERASURES and a Creative Writing teacher at New York University. His poems have appeared in The American Reader, The Awl, The Literary Review and Poetry, among many others.
—
Hosted by GUILLAUME MORISSETTE & ASHLEY OPHEIM.
Presented by METATRON, your friendly local press.
* It’s possible we will begin this reading by presenting a brief selection of some of our favorite posts from “Humans of New York.”
Free admission/hugs.
