6 different kinds of industrial sewing machine, a heat press and a PC
What does your office space look like?
Amazing, like Alladin’s cave, it’s full of old pictures, vintage underwear, bolts and snips of silk and lace, measurement charts and colourful tins and jars full of buttons and bra components. It’s one of my favourite places to be in the whole world.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
I like to listen to great works of literature, at the moment it’s Peter Ackroyds’s brilliant translation of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
Ideally I see to the emails first thing in the morning then get down to the real work uninterrupted
What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
focus and prioritize, there can be a lot of calls on time and not all can be answered.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
don’t work alone…I often do work alone and need a business partner
What is your best tip for saving time ?
think about work orders and plan well
What is your routine start and end of the day ?
I start at the computer with a bowl of muesli so my eating doesn’t use up my work time then make a pot of coffee and get on with the rest
