I’m Maxim. I’m 24 years old. I was born in Russia and grow up in Czech Republic.

I work as a motion and 3D designer at Bistro Agency.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

I work with After Effects and Cinema C4D of course, I often use Photoshop and Illustrator. I like to experiment with plugins and software’s (Houdini is my favorite right now). My other essentials are Behance, Dribbble, Instagram for inspiration, Soundcloud, Spotify for relaxation and focusing, moleskin, pencils and plate line for ideas and playing.

What does your office space look like? 

It’s glassy, transparent. We creatives are very close to each other and there are a lot of empty chairs, so we can sit together and discuss anything.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working?  

bass-driven tunes

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work? 

Not really, I adjust my schedule according to stuff I need to do.

What tips would you give to improve productivity? 

Take breaks and do something else for 5-10 minutes e.g. every 3 hours. Creative work shouldn’t be pushed.

You’re better than your colleagues to: 

Large appetite for learning new things

What is the best advice anyone has given you? 

Be humble and thankful.

What is your best tip for saving time? 

Dishwasher

What is your routine start and end of the day? 

Mate tea, small breakfast, morning, walk to work, coffee, water, e-mails. Evening walk, making dinner and watching Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmare, spending time with my fiancee.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without? 

Nikon D7000 for taking late night photos
