Beau’s Brewing Co. is adding a full time player to their award-winning roster of certified organic craft beers: a brand-new west-coast-style I.P.A. called Full Time. The official launch date in Ontario and Québec for Full Time I.P.A. is May 11. Full Time I.P.A. will be available for retail purchase in Beau’s signature 600 ml bottles as well as part of a Summer Mix pack, and also poured on draft at craft-friendly pubs and restaurants.
Full Time is an aromatic I.P.A. in the contemporary West Coast style, with bold flavours and well balanced bitterness. It pours hazy deep gold with a dense white foam. Big tropical fruit aromas give way to citrus and pine, courtesy of organic American and New Zealand hops that include Simcoe, Cascade, Nelson-Sauvin, and Citra. The medium-bodied 6.7 % ABV ale finishes dry, with lingering hop and fruit notes.
I.P.A.s (India Pale Ales) are currently the most popular craft beer style in North America, and a style the Beau’s brewing team knows how to do well. In 2008 Beau’s introduced a seasonal I.P.A. called Beaver River, which fast became a fan-favourite and won Gold twice at the Canadian Brewing Awards, in 2011 and again in 2013. And the West Coast style I.P.A. needs no introduction in modern craft beer circles: undeniably aromatic, with tropical, citrusy hops and bracing bitterness, they are typically brewed stronger than a traditional I.P.A.
“This is the full time I.P.A. that fans of our beer have been asking us to make for years. We’ve taken some time to dial in the recipe and get it just the way we want, and that patience I think has paid off,” says Beau’s co-founder Steve Beauchesne.
In addition to the release details noted above, Full Time I.P.A. can be sampled at and purchased from the Beau’s Brewing Tap Room in Vankleek Hill as ofMay 11, as well as for home delivery in the City of Ottawa via the BYBO service (www.bybo.ca). The beer will flow on tap later in May in all other provinces Beau’s beer is sold, and bottles will be also available in B.C. and Alberta, as well as New York State.
