I'm Douglas P. Lobo, an ordinary being who is interested in making "good" art.
Your current job :
I'm a freelance illustrator.
In which city are you located?
Montevideo, Uruguay.
A word to define what kind of worker you are:
Neurotic.
What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
My mind, a mug of coffee, candies and Paint Tool Sai. Photoshop for small editions.
What does your office space look like?
Usually messy. Not a good place for photos.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working?
I listen to soundtracks and the work of composers in general. Yoko Kanno, Kenji Kawai, Yoko Shimomura. Loads of J-Music, Blues, Classic Rock and many podcasts too.
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?
No. I'm good with delivering things fast, though I have no rules in my process. It is pretty chaotic.
What tips would you give to improve productivity?
Productivity has not a strong role in my Modus operandi. I would tell people to focus on quality, instead. But this would be my Ego talking here. Perhaps, to take rests (?) I do not.
You're better than your colleagues to :
Perhaps, I'm attached to details that supposedly have an agency on the way people will be aesthetically impressed when talking about art. If that makes me better than anyone else, good question.
What is the best advice anyone has given you?
"Be water, my friend." It applies to everything in life. Bruce Lee.
What is your best tip for saving time?
Focus on the important things in your life.
What is your routine start and end of the day?
Coffee, social media and speaking to my love in the morning. Then take a good shower and speaking again to her before sleeping.

My small old black note (and a pen) for ideation process.
