What kind of music do you listen when you are working?

It is pretty eclectic really and pretty much what my mood that day is. Usually, it's Spotify at work and I listen to a lot of vinyl at home. Most of the time it's hip hop, from oldies like Krs-One to Kendric Lamar and Action Bronson. I like (New) wave music from the eighties (Talking heads, The The, New Order) but also the iconic seventies bands like Black Sabbath, CCR, and Pink Floyd. I even listen to some modern minimalistic classical music or take a nostalgic tour through the nineties.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?

I usually start my day reading and replying my emails and check my Google agenda, which is my homepage. Most of the time I already planned my entire week or month, so I just put on some tunes, get a cup of coffee and start my day. I usually keep the work going until it is done.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?

Overall have fun doing it, quit when it starts to get boring. I recently started putting away my smartphone and disabled my push notifications. It’s kinda relieving not to have that thing constantly buzzing on my desk. I can focus on my work more. I’m trying to get into the zone, and call it a day when it’s just not happening.

You're better than your colleagues to:

I don’t like comparing myself to others. Everybody is equal, I respect people for their abilities and believe that everybody has their own great set of qualities.

What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Quit when you’re not having fun anymore

What is your best tip for saving time?

Get rid of all unnecessaries in your day to day life and pay full attention to the things that matter most. Surround yourself with other professionals and collaborate, instead of trying to do everything yourself.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?

I start with a cup of coffee and finish turning off my computer to go home to be with my girls.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
I’m not much of a gadget type person. I like to cruise around on my motorcycle though.
