Who are you:
I am an Illustrator and Designer living and working in Austria. I am intrigued by good stories and good storytelling and appreciate all media bringing both together.
Your current job:
I am a freelance Illustrator and (Graphic) Designer.
In which city are you located?
I am located in Vienna. Lovely.
A word to define what kind of worker you are:
The kind that gets little sleep.
What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)?
Arguably the primitive ones, despite Adobe being indispensable for my work. If nothing else, crayons are more fun than Photoshop.
What does your office space look like?
Sometimes it looks orderly. Mostly it does not look so orderly. It always looks good to me.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working?
That generally depends on what project or stage of a project I am getting into. This can span everything from Haydn to The Horrors. Finishing a recent branding presentation Paolo Conte really worked for me. Radio is good too.
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?
I start off with tea and do not stop drinking throughout the day. I try to fragment the day into timeframes for more or less concrete objectives. I try to go for a walk or otherwise leave my studio at least once a day and make time for a stupendous dinner – unfortunately, not always so stupendous.
What tips would you give to improve productivity?
Try things and reflect. Keep track of everything. Be ambitious and then think of what practical steps you can take. Breathe.
What is the best advice anyone has given you?
What is your best tip for saving time?
Remember what is important and what is not. Consider whether you spend your time and attention accordingly.
What is your routine start and end of the day?
I start with tea and end with a book. Lovely.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not go without?
I cannot go without my hat.
