Who are you:

I'm Lucía Franco, I'm 38 years old and I'm a Graphic Designer & Illustrator.

Your current job:

I work as a Graphic Designer specializing in editorial design, and I'm a freelance Illustrator.

In which city are you located?

I live in Montevideo, Uruguay.

What does your office space look like?

I work at home, my workspace is very simple and functional; I have a small desk with my computer and scanner on top of it and any other tools that may fit. And then a printer on top of a small cabinet where I store the rest of my stuff.

What kind of music do you listen to when you are working?

My children shouting! Apart from that, maybe some indie rock from time to time, but I mostly enjoy the silence.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?

I make a lot of to-do lists; I work by day when my children are at school, and to leverage the sunlight, of course.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?

Learn how to organize yourself, make a list, plan ahead and put it into action.

You're better than your colleagues to:

Work, take care of my children and cook, all at the same time!

What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Try to have a style of my own, and stick to it.

What is your best tip for saving time?
Wake up early, and get down to work with an idea already in my head.

What are your routine start and the end of the day?

I'd start the day with a self-made smoothie, and end it with a beer with my husband.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?

Pencil and paper!
