I am René Guindon co-owner of L’amère à Boire
How long have you been brewing beer and what are your brewery’s core values?
The brewery has been in operation since December 1996. We seek to reproduce styles of beer as rigorously as possible. The enhancement of ingredients, malts, and hops, through fermentation with our yeast strains brings a distinct signature to our beers. We have a concern for beer service so that the amateur who moves to the brewery can live a full experience of the appreciation of our beers. Carefully repeat the same recipe from brew to brew to ensure consistency of flavor.
What are the main types of beer you brew?
Lagers inspired by Czech Pilsner, Tmavé, and German, Märzen or Hefe Weizen. English ales. pale ale served cask and Nitrogen Imperial Stout.
What makes your beer unique?
Černá is a Czech-inspired pilsner brewed with yeast preserved by the communist regime. The use of the freshest leaf hops possible. LUKR tap service to highlight the foamy smoothness provided by the Saaz tannins.
Are you bringing a special beer to Mondial that we should try?
If so, what is it and what can you tell us about it? In addition to the Černá, we bring the NHL. A black lager hopped with Amarillo hops where the flavors of mandarin intersect with the smoky taste of roasted malt
What are the plans for the future?
We are continuing to can our products with local distribution, authorized since December 2020, hoping to increase our capacity in order to produce more. L’Amère à Boisson is a well-established brewery that should maintain its brewing activities to the delight of beer lovers from here and elsewhere. A take-out shop is in place to get cans on site.
