How long have you been brewing beer and what are the core values of your brewery?
I’ve been brewing for about 14 years starting as a homebrewer, then nanobrewer and then professional brewer. I tend to brew more classic-style beers and shy away from gimmicks (adjunct heavy beers) or whatever beer is fashionable. I started commercially with a Porter and that’s still my #1 selling beer. English and German-style beers are my favorites.
What are the main types of beer you brew?
English Ales, German Lagers, West Coast Pale Ales and IPAs, a few Belgian styles
What makes your beer unique? and are you bringing any special beer at the Mundial that we should try? if yes, what is it and what can you tell us about it?
We are bringing our Clifford Porter which is the flagship Clifford beer and may possibly be the top-awarded Porter beer in Canada (over the past 10 years of its existence). Also, our Marigold Belgian Golden Ale – we brew this seasonally and it’s a very popular beer in our hometown and has won many awards. It’s a dry-hopped Abbey Ale with a wonderfully spicy and hop-forward flavor.
What are the plans for the future?
We are based out of Hamilton, Ont, and largely sell our products in our home market.
