Office tale of Inés Solange Reynolds, graphic designer and photographer

Published by Leonardo Calcagno

Who are you :
My name is Inés Solange Reynolds, and this is a difficult question! I am that person that never finishes her soda bottle, is always (or tries to be) on time, an absolute fanatic of all those weird little facts nobody really cares about and I am personally in love with photography and light.

Your current job :
I am doing freelance graphic design and photography at the moment while finishing my design degree.

In which city are you located?:
Currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
My iMac, all the adobe programes, mouse, tablet, camera and lots of music.

What does your office space look like?
Very open with lots of light and post-it notes everywhere.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working?
Depending on the project and my mood, lots of instrumental music and one particular playlist I have on you tube with a little bit of everything.  I also listen to podcasts from Radio Lab which are just great!

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?
I have a to-do list built up with post-it notes with three sections: START, CONTINUE and FINISHED! It kind of encourages me since you get to see everything you have to do but also what you already tackled.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?
Just stop procrastinating and start. That is the most difficult part!

You’re better than your colleagues in:
I don’t think that I am better, we just have different ways of seeing the world, and that is great!

What is the best advice anyone has given you?
Keep on learning and challenging yourself.

What is your best tip for saving time ?
Just focus on one thing at the time.

What is your routine start and end of the day?
I don’t really have a routine except getting breakfast in the morning.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not go with?
My camera.
