Kevin Moran

Your current job:
I spend my days working for a downtown investment firm, handling their branding and digital services. At night, I undertake side illustration projects and design jobs.

In which city are you located?
Toronto, Canada

A word to define what kind of worker you are :
Enthusiastic.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Adobe Illustrator, Pinterest, sketchbook & pencil.

What does your office space look like?
My work office space looks like an explosion. Paper is scattered everywhere with illegible yellow notes stuck all over my desk top monitor. When I’m not in the office, I stuff my work into a duffle bag and work at a coffee shop…or attempt to work from my desk at home.

What kind of music do you listening when you are working ?
I listen to a variety of music while I work. My iTunes loop Drizzy Drake, Childish Gambino and Imagine Dragons on the regular.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I make lists on loose pieces of paper. I also make lists of daily task in my phone and email myself. I’m weird.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?
Always carry a pocket sized sketchbook. Sketching and jotting on the go make me feel better about my days.

You’re better than your colleagues to :
…trouble shooting and un-jamming the office Xerox machine. I’m a genius!

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
“Desperation makes you look weak.”

What is your best tip for saving time ?
Stay up late, nap during the day. The days end up being longer.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?
Coffee.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go?
Scanner.
