Who are you?
Kiara Hysa. I just graduated in Art & Design in Albania. I’m a passionate painter, photographer and an animal lover (I’m sort of a self-proclaimed dog whisperer :p).

Your current job?
I’m currently working on several projects at a time, my most important one being the colossal work of illustrating a well-known Albanian folk legend, the first book to be illustrated in shadow theatre style in Albania. I also work as a freelance designer in Tirana, mainly dealing with advertising and branding.

What tools are essential to your life?
Adobe illustrator

What does your office space look like?
I don’t have a permanent working space, as I work whenever and wherever inspiration hits. But I do have a corner in my room dedicated to working and creativity.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working?
What keeps me focused is deep house and electronic music. Feminine and deep voices like Lana del Rey move me.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximise your work?
Having a coffee is a very essential part of my working routine. Everything else depends on my workload and inspiration. However, when I have a very important project on my hands I dedicate my whole day to it, as I don’t have any other major commitments in my life.

What tip would you give to improve productivity?
To do lists are a must have! I always make a list of things I have to execute, and then I go long with it, something which always keeps my productivity high.

You’re better than your colleagues to..
To be very open to new ideas and alternatives. I have a way of easily communicating with everyone, and finding a common ground.

What is your best tip for saving time?
The best way I have found to save me lots of time is to turn off my phone and zone out from any other distractions. As far as you’re totally focused on what you’re doing, everything flows and is done more quickly.

What is your routine start and the end of the day?
I’m quite eclectic, so my day never starts and ends the same way. Nonetheless, evening often finds me doing yoga or meditation to clear my mind.

Aside from your computer and your phone what gadget can you not to go?
My headsets, definitely!
