Who are you :
My name is Adam Taylor, I grew up in sydney australia with adventurist parents who loved the wilderness, climbing, skiing, surfing and exploring. I used to compete as a snowboarder, I went to art school and for a time thought to pursue a future as a painter but found photography a revelation. I am a storyteller, I started off as a photojournalist and love sharing moments of insight, beauty, fun and laughter !

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Various camera’s and lenses, tripod, iphone, laptop, photoshop, capture one,
What does your office space look like?
A room in our house with good sunlight. It is quiet basic and minimal.
In the past I’ve shared studio spaces with other photographers and at our last house I built a studio / office on the property and really liked that situation. I’d like to do something similar with this house but we’ve not long moved in and Im figuring out where on the property it would best be suited.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
All sorts of genres, singer songwriter, blues, rock, roots, trance, classical. I love guys like Neil Young, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Passenger, Ryan Adams and Justin Tebbutt.
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I write ‘to do’ lists either in my diary or on a white board, then take great satisfaction in ticking things off that list.
What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Have clear intention for your actions and take regular breaks outside away from the computer screen.

Make peace with the present moment.
What is your routine start and end of the day ?
I’d call it a ‘flexible’ routine given the nature of photography. If i’ve time i like to start with a little meditation and stretching, or a run with our dog. A quick early morning surf is fantastic.
Something that kickstarts the day mentally and physically.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go ?
There’s not really much else, at the moment im right into reducing the use of gadgets and technology and experiencing life unplugged.
