My name is David Perez, Graphic Designer / Illustrator mainly but open to exploring other creative area related.

Your current job :
Freelancer as Graphic Designer, web designer and illustrator.

In which city are you located?
Caracas, Venezuela.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :
Eternal apprentice, always try to learn something new and apply it to my work.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Sketchbook, Adobe Photoshop, Wacom, internet.

What does your office space look like?
Very simply, I hope to change soon, for a more comfortable workspace.

What kind of music do you listening when you are working ?
I listen to a wide range of music, from artists of the 70s, to more contemporary artists, avoid the POP music I prefer more Indie Electronic and Classic Rock. I always work with music and style depends on the mood, I prefer the radio; on some occasions explore grooveshark, Soundcloud, or any website that has some interesting playlist.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
Check the mail in the morning and from there take out the list of things to do that day.

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Avoid procrastination

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
Keep the attitude of a child, always curious to learn, explore and experiment. I was 14 years old. The teacher of Arts, said this advice to all classroom, but I take it to me.

What is your best tip for saving time ?
Stay focused on what you’re doing and avoid any distraction.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?
I get up in the morning I take my son to school, come home and eat my breakfast. I turn on the computer, check email and make list of things to do, looking for inspiration and then start working until the time go back to the school for my child again. Return home and make lunch after that back to work, 4 hours later more or less, spent time sharing with the family, take a shower and then when my son fall sleep back to the computer, I check social networks, my online stores and favorite sites. I usually go to bed late.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go ?
I think my Wacom tablet.
