Who are you:
My name is Afonso Negromonte, I am a 20 years old Brazilian whom the Universe has, luckily, turned into an animator (and sometimes game designer) living in Canada.

Exchange student at Ontario College of Art and Design.
In which city are you located?

A word to define what kind of worker you are :
Perfectionist.
What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..) :
After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and, more recently, Unity.
What does your office space look like?
I don’t really have a cool office space right now for two reasons: First, I’m living here for only 3 months and I won’t stay for more than one year. There’s no point for me in investing on something that i’ll use for that short amount of time. Secondly, since my work is mostly digital, I don’t need much more than a table to place my computer.
What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
Mostly, my favourite band of all time, Toe. They are an instrumental post-rock/math-rock band from Japan. If you are reading this, you should check them out, seriously.
Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I do first the things I like the most, they tend to be easier for me. This way I don’t waste time trying to do harder things and end up doing nothing after all.
What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Divide large projects into small tasks, so you can see the progress happening, instead of “finished or not finished”. Motivation is everything.
You’re better than your colleagues to :
I think there’s no way I can answer this question without sounding arrogant.
What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
“Canada is the best place for your area of study”, from a professor back in Brazil.
What is your best tip for saving time ?
Practice a lot. Nothing saves more time than knowing the software well.
What is your routine start and end of the day ?
My routine can change according to my classes, which vary everyday. After waking up, if I slept the night before, I go to my university. After class, I stay there and do my assignments or go home to take some rest. At night, I work some more on my projects or take some time to watch series.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
Without a doubt, my graphic tablet.
