My name is Gina Kim, I am a graphic designer/illustrator who constantly seeks new knowledge.
I have a Bachelor of Design Honours degree from York University and Sheridan College (YSDN).

Your current job :
Freelance graphic designer.

In which city are you located?
Toronto, Ontario.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :
Conscientious

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Macbook Pro, sketchbook, pen, and my camera.

What does your office space look like?
Minimalistic desk. I try to keep my desk clean and organized at all times. It really helps me to concentrate!

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
I don’t really listen to music when I work, but when I do, I listen to R&B Soul and indie pop music.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I believe that prioritizing tasks is the best way to organize my day. I often use my calendar app and write to-do lists to organize my day.

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Sketch out your ideas before going to the computer. Turn off social media to focus on work.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
Don’t pray for an easy life. Pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.

What is your best tip for saving time ?
Use your calendar!

What is your routine start and end of the day ?
My day starts with green tea. I end my day working on projects and charging all of my gadgets.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
I recently fell in love with my new Polaroid! I really enjoy collecting snaps of my friends and family.
