Who are you : 

I’m Dominika Mikolášová, 24 years old graphic designer, recently focusing on UX/UI.

Your current job : 

I work as a graphic designer for an agency Kapesní svět and small studio Grafpoint we own with friend.

In which city are you located? 

Lysá nad Labem, small town near Prague, Czech republic

A word to define what kind of worker you are : 


What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. Behance, Pinterest and Dribbble. 

What does your office space look like?

Minimalistic. I love being surrounded by simple, beautiful things. Makes me inspired.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ? 

Good electronic music mostly DnB – Calibre, Blu Mar Ten, Lenzman… Or listening artist like Hans Zimmer, Steve Jablonsky, Alexandre Desplat etc. makes my heart sing. But right now I have The Beatles period. 

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?

Working on tasks that needs to be done. You can´t really organize at this kind of job, you have to be very flexible.

What tips would you give to improve productivity ? 

I have bit of trouble focusing on one task at time. So i´m trying to work on tasks i don´t like at first and be done with it. Then designing stuff i love doing. Or make a list…

You’re better than your colleagues to : 

I think we balance each other pretty well.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ? 

Be happy with little things. 

What is your best tip for saving time ?

Aviod social media.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?

Workout, eat breakfast, watch new projects on Behance (to stay inspired), design. Then spend some time with my girlfriend.
