Andreas Constantinou, freelance fine art and fashion photographer

Published by Leonardo Calcagno

Who are you:

I’m Andreas Constantinou a freelance fine art and fashion photographer from Cyprus. I love the arts and traveling and anything parallels to or resulting from these two.

Your current job:

I’m currently working as a social media supervisor in Cyprus Tourism Organization and as a freelance photographer.

In which city are you located?

I’m located in Nicosia, Cyprus.

A word to define what kind of worker you are:

Perfectionist

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

I would say my Canon, my iMac, my iPhone and Photoshop.

What does your office space look like?

Busy! Since I undertake various stuff such as photography, painting, writing and all sorts of things that I find interesting and exciting, my office space and consequently my whole house is full of books, magazines, props, jewelry, paintings, cloths etc but all in a rather tidy manner.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working

It depends on my mood really and the type of pictures I’m editing. So it can vary from Classical to the latest club hits.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?

Yes, I get organized with a Notebook Calendar so I always know what I have next during the day.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?

Organize your day and try to keep up with the current art scene, any form of art can be inspiring. Also, don’t forget to take a break from time to time to recharge your batteries.

You’re better than your colleagues to:

I don’t really like to compare my self to others, I think each one of us has its own unique portfolio which defines him/her. But if I have to say something, most people tell me I am very good at using natural light in my work.

What is the best advice anyone has given you?

One of my high school teachers once said: “Find a job that you will make you want to wake up in the morning”. I try to follow that.

What is your best tip for saving time?

The best tip is to plan ahead and organize as much as possible, make a plan B or C if needed in case anything goes wrong. Moreover, sometimes it’s more than ok to just say NO, as to avoid unwanted situations that will only take up our precious time and offer nothing in return.

What is your routine start and end of the day?

My routine start of the day? To oversleep! ha! ha! I’m such a non-morning person and I’m usually very tired from the day before thus I oversleep most of the times. But everything is ok after the first coffee. I usually check my IG profiles before falling sleeping, I know – a very bad habit.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?

Canon5D.
