I’m Oriol Renart, co-founder of the Barcelona Beer Company. I’m in charge of sales, communications, and product.I’m 33% of the Barcelona Beer Company. The rest is Litus Vilaseca and David Ferrer,

What was the inspiration behind your brewery?

Four years ago, I took a trip with my wife to NY. At one point, my wife went to a mall to buy underwear. As every man knows, you should never accompany a woman to buy underwear. Then I saw a bar serving craft beer and I entered. Knowing almost nothing about craft beers, I ordered a Russian River.At that moment my life changed. I discovered what beer really was. Its flavor, its aromas.When I finished that beer, I decided that I wanted to have my own brewery. Thus began the Barcelona Beer Company.

Can you give us a tour of your beer scene? Barcelona will soon become one of the world centers of craft beer. We are living a real revolution. Give us a little time and see it!.The moment is exciting. A lot of very good projects are coming out. Beers are getting better every day and the public is more and more eager to try authentic beer.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a brewery?If you like your free time, do not do it !.Okay, okay, just kidding.Some tips: You must love beer. Investigate a lot. Know what you really want to do. Do something different from what there is. Do it very well technically. Check the numbers very well.
