Who are you and your current job?
I’m Pep Andreu co-founder and brewer of Cervesa Marina in Blanes Spain and also organizers of Birrasana, craft beer festival that will take place this year in Lloret de Mar 29,30 April and 1 of May just beside the sea.
What was the inspiration behind your brewery?
The passion comes 20 years ago with my brother Kevin he got a little kit and we became home brewers. In 2010 we established the brand Cervesa Marina and 5 years ago the brewery. In 2013 joined us Gregori our third partner.Basically, we brew the beers we like to drink.
Can you give us a tour of your beer scene?
The beer scene in Catalunya is growing very fast with a lot of new breweries opening month by month.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a brewery?
Well, it’s difficult but sometimes a thing is not so beautiful as they seem. It’s a hard job and I think that the element that makes difference and helps to keep going on his passion.
