What does your office space look like?
Pretty bare bones plywood floor shitty drywall job fluorescent lighting
How large is the brewery?
The reason you started brewing?
A love for good beer, the creative process, nothing better in life than good food and drink
What was the inspiration behind your brewery?
brewing outside of the box while still keeping things approachable for all levels of palates
What are the biggest challenges for you as a brewer in Ontario?
Complying with the antiquated laws for sales and distribution of alcohol
What kind of music do you listen to when you are working?
Hip Hop unless Patrick puts on metal or Matt puts on House or Shory puts on CCR
Do you have a way to organize your days to optimize your work?
We have a few white boards of tasks we need to accomplish, we wipe off the ones we finish and add the new ones.
What tips would you give to improve productivity?
stop talking more working
What is the best advice anyone has given you?
make good beer and you’ll be fine
What is your routine start and end of the day?
we usually have a meeting at the beginning of the day and go over the white board. The end of the day could be a number of things but we try to enjoy a beer with the staff.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
3 Ontario craft beers that we must try?
That is the hardest question to answer, there is a lot of great breweries in Ontario right now. If I mention 3 beers and I run into someone who brewed a great beer that I didn’t include I might not be able to look them in the eye.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a brewery?
Get ready to work your ass off.
