I’m Steph, better known as Milly. I’m a creative hustler who craves snacks and telling stories through cool and modern design.  

Your current job:

Currently, I’m working as a UI / Visual Designer for a tech company in Toronto, Canada. 

In which city are you located? 

Toronto, Canada. 

 A word to define what kind of worker you are : 

Curious. Always striving to learn something new to better my craft. 

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..) :

Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator are pretty essential in my day-to-day life. Dribbble and Instagram are my go-to’s!

What does your office space look like? 

Clean and minimal – including my laptop, an iMac monitor, a little succulent and my notebook of course!

What kind of music do you listen when you are working? 

Depends on my mood. Indie and folk vibes keep me at ease and are usually at the top of my playlists. But lately, I’ve been really into Years & Years and Kendrick Lamar. 

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work? 

I have a healthy habit of making lists. Checking off tasks from my lists feels incredibly satisfying and motivates me to keep going. 

What tips would you give to improve productivity? 

Take a break, have a snack, clear your mind. 

You’re better than your colleagues to : 

Likely better at making pizza. 

What is the best advice anyone has given you? 

Be a fruit loop in a world full of Cheerios. 

What is your best tip for saving time? 

Put your phone away and prioritize your tasks. 

What is your routine start and end of the day? 

Eat breakfast, drink a tea, and read the daily design articles on Sidebar.  Kickback, put on a show and relax.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without? 

Can’t live without my DSLR and headphones.
