Who are you:

Ramona Ring

Your current job:

I’m a freelance illustrator and I draw for different magazines and publishers. As a side thing, I’m working on becoming a yoga instructor.

In which city are you located?

I’m based in Hamburg, Germany. But I’m trying to change locations frequently. I spent the last three summers in Sitka, Alaska and this winter I’m going to be in Hawaii and New Zealand for a few months.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :

Reliable

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

I use pens and paper, a little travel scanner, a vertical mouse, photoshop and sometimes illustrator.

What does your office space look like?

What kind of music do you listen when you are working?

That changes all the time, but there’s some stuff that has kept me company over the last years, like Devendra Banhart, Asaf Avidan, Dirty Beaches, Mild High Club, C’mon Tigre, Timber Timbre, Last Ex, etc….

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?

Not really. I rarely overwork myself. I try to do a lot of yoga in between work sessions, to get healthy breaks. It also helps me to refocus.

What tips would you give to improve productivity?

Take breaks. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Go for a walk. Eat healthy. Get enough sleep.

You’re better than your colleagues to :

I don’t like to compare myself to other people.

What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Breathe and meditate.

What is your best tip for saving time?

Quit social media, unless it’s for self-promotion.

What is your routine start and end of the day?

I usually start and end my day with yoga and meditation.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?

I love my travel scanner.
