The theme of this fourth edition of BIAN at Arsenal is rooted in the poem “I Sing the Body Electric”, written by the American poet Walt Whitman in 1855, entrusts the general and artistic director Alain Thibault to the media.
This year, Germany is in the spotlight. Among the 20 or so artists, Light Society presents Whispers, a work that “imagines new therapeutic forms for possible futures.”
The BIAN 2018 will be curated by Peter Weibel, artist, curator, and director of the ZKM Center for Media Art (Karlsruhe, DE) in collaboration with Alain Thibault, artistic director of ELEKTRA (Montreal, QC-CA).
