Wellington Brewery is gearing up for their annual Welly Cask Fest happening September 6-7th at the brewery. The two-day festival is a celebration of craft beer and community which will mark Wellington Brewery’s 34th anniversary.

As one of North America’s first modern craft brewers to revive traditional English-style cask ales, Wellington Brewery will celebrate the roots of craft beer at their annual cask festival. The weekend festivities will feature 25+ cask beers and ciders available at each session including unique one-off creations, guest features, and one-of-a-kind collaborations. Each of these unpasteurized, unfiltered, and naturally carbonated selections will be served directly from the cask with a lineup including everything from funky fruit-infused sour beers to traditional English-style ales served on cask. The lineup of 24 participating guest brewers and cider makers has been announced with the full cask list to be revealed soon.

Welly Cask Fest will also feature delicious food from the region’s best food trucks and vendors, live music, brewery tours, vintage arcade games, ax throwing, and more. This years event will also feature a women’s wrestling showdown presented by PWA Wrestling and Queen of Craft on Friday night.

As a special sneak peek of the small-batch beers available at the festival, the brewery will be releasing a special can release of one of the featured beers. The Caskfest Kveik Pale Ale is a single hop pale ale featuring Cashmere hops and Ebbegarden Kveik yeast from Escarpment Labs which will be available on Friday, August 30th in 355ml cans exclusively at the brewery and online while supplies last.

Welly Cask Fest happens September 6th-7th, 2019 at Wellington Brewery in Guelph, Ontario with 3 individually ticketed sessions. Tickets include a sampling glass, drink tokens, and local shuttle bus transportation from downtown. The brewery will also be offering a special shuttle bus service running from Kitchener-Waterloo on Friday and Saturday and from Toronto on Saturday.

A portion of the proceeds from Welly Cask Fest will go to support Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington. Tickets and more information about the event are available at wellycaskfest.com
