So not only is McDavid awesome to watch from a fan’s perspective but also he is extremely admired by his peers in the NHL.
2. Nathan MacKinnon
You don’t get to be a three-time NHL all-star without being something special. And MacKinnon is right up there with some of the best not only in the NHL but also in the entire world. He has played for Colorado Avalanche for the last few seasons, and he is an absolutely pivotal member of the team for several reasons. He is usually a center, and his style of play just creates opportunities all over the place for his team, not to mention his goal-scoring abilities.
3. Patrick Kane
Kane has played domestically for the Chicago Blackhawks for years, and he has represented the USA on multiple occasions, both at the 2014 and 2010 winter Olympics. He’s a three-time winner of the Stanley Cup, and he has even been named in the top 100 NHL players of all-time. But Kane isn’t exactly a saint away from the NHL. He’s had multiple run-ins with the law, and his ‘bad boy’ image has occasionally transferred onto the ice. Nevertheless, this blend makes him a very exciting player to watch.
All of these players share characteristics such as speed, control, fan love, and overall incredible talent on the ice. While some fans have other favorites than those on this list, it is simply undeniable that these players are the glue of their teams each and every season. Whenever they are involved in the game, things seem to happen. And it is this reality that has landed them inside the top three on our list!
