Design Week Portland 2020 | Coronavirus Update

Design Week Portland 2020 | Coronavirus Update

Published by Press release

To our community:

Every day brings new information about the coronavirus. The uncertainty of the situation is creating uneasy feelings about travel and gatherings, and we wanted to update you on our response. Based on our current research and understanding, we’re not planning to cancel or postpone Design Week Portland. The festival is still slated to run April 18-25.

Since our events are small and over 90% of our attendees are local, there is low risk, based on conditions today. We’re paying close attention to credible sources as things unfold, and will only cancel the festival as a whole if the threat level in Portland has risen significantly between now and April 18th.

However, since cases are emerging in the Pacific Northwest, we have a responsibility to present options for cancellation and refunds. If you’re concerned about attending events, we will refund any tickets you’ve purchased, no questions asked. We only ask that you be mindful of the work that goes into planning events and cancel as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it. We’re working with organizers to create the healthiest possible environments at their events and open houses.

Your safety and well-being are our number one concerns. We’ll keep you updated about any changes, as they arise.
