On CBD – Misconceptions About CBD Drops and CBD Products

Published by Programme B

Thanks to all of the different television documentaries, Facebook stories, and the many different websites online, there is a very good chance that you have already heard about CBD drops, as well as other types of CBD products.  From topical creams to oral sprays, to capsules, to hhc gummies benefits; there is an abundance of choices. You may not have heard of the benefits of medicinal gummies, but they are exactly the same as other CBD products. You most likely have, however, heard that CBD is originally derived from the cannabis plant and that it is able to treat a wide variety of different afflictions that you may be suffering from. You have also probably heard that, unlike CBD’s cousin, marijuana, CBD is not going to give you any type of psychoactive effects.  But just because you have heard it before, does not necessarily mean that it is true. In fact, there are many misconceptions when it comes to CBD drops and other CBD products in general. Here are some of the most common CBD misconceptions that you have probably not heard.

CBD is just a new type of marijuana.

While CBD does come from the same plant as marijuana, CBD is not marijuana.  While this may sound confusing as CBD and marijuana do come from the same plant, they are going to come from different parts of the plant and will therefore have different effects on the body.  Generally speaking, CBD is only going to have between 0-0.3 percent THC, which is going to be roughly 33 percent less than the absolute weakest strain that you will be able to find in marijuana.  What all this means is that no matter how much CBD you take, you are never going to be able to get high from it.

CBD Doesn’t Have Psychoactive Properties

This is one of the more common misconceptions about CBD drops and other CBD products, but for good reason.  As it was just mentioned, CBD by itself is not going to be able to give you that feeling of being high, as it is simply not an intoxicating substance.  With that being said though, it does have some psychoactive properties as it is going to affect your mental state. It just so happens that it will affect your mental state by lowering your anxiety and making you feel less depressed.  With all of that being said, it is more appropriate to say that CBD is non-intoxicating, as opposed to non-psychoactive. So, keep that in mind when shopping for CBD for sale online.

CBD Drops Should Only be Used by Adults

While there are many out there who believe that CBD is just a newer version of marijuana, it is this misconception that leads them to believe that only adults should be using CBD drops and products.  However, since CBD and marijuana are completely different from each other and have different effects on the human body, partnered with the fact that CBD drops essentially have no THC in them whatsoever, there is no information stating that CBD drops are going to be unsafe in any way for children to take.  In fact, CBD use has actually been increasing among children who are suffering from certain ailments, one of those being that of epilepsy.
