Konami Brings Casino Technology and Slot Games to San Diego’s Annual Indian Gaming Show

Published by Programme B

Konami Gaming, Inc. has revealed its impressive lineup of state-of-the-art systems technology, slot animations, and linked progressive slot series for the upcoming Annual National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) trade show and convention on March 26 – 27 in San Diego. Konami’s new video slot DIMENSION 49J™ is set to feature an original progressive series, including Silent Hill and All Aboard. Around 6,000 professionals, representatives, and executives are expected to attend the event where they will have the chance to engage with brand new game series on such high-performance slot hardware as Opus Dual™, KX 43™, and Concerto Opus™. Throughout the course of the two days, Konami’s booth will highlight top SYNKROS® technology. The firm will also show off an over 60-foot truck containing its very latest innovative products.

Tomorrow’s technology

Konami Gaming’s executive VP Tom Jingoli said that the company will be concentrating its efforts at the event on providing tomorrow’s technology and entertainment to tribal operators in order to back both short-term and long-term results. Attendees will be able to experiment with brand new premium games from Konami on the new DIMENSION 49J. All Aboard, a successful series from Konami’s Australian division, is a late arrival to the schedule, with two base games that will be making their very first appearances. There will also be customized merchandise, including animated LED chairback displays and overhead sign packages. Konami will also be introducing a well-known franchise into the gambling space, in the form of two Silent Hill slots, namely Silent Hill: Return™ and Silent Hill: Escape™.

One of the youngest oversized cabinets in the industry is also set to offer customized merchandise at NIGA, including LED sign packages and pod filters. Opus Dual, available in North America, attempts to build upon Opus’ success by showing off dual-screen content across stacked 43in displays in place of a 65in single screen.

4K content

Konami’s Opus and KX 43 cabinets are making their way back to the event, along with a variety of 4K gaming content. Included are a vast array of progressive games, including Diamond Trails™ and Treasure Lounge™. A number of series also shows off animated LED signs options for optimal visual impact.

Jingoli said that the available entertainment for Opus and KX 43 is proof that Konami is committed to providing creativity and quality. Such Konami features as the Sparkle Feature, Stay and Spin, and Strike Zone are featured in different ways than in the past, along with new mechanics of primary play, such as those featured in Treasure Lounge, which moves away from conventional spinning reels.

Facial recognition

Attendees will also have the opportunity to evaluate SYNKROS, Konami’s casino management system. Among the major features is SynkVision, which employs facial recognition in order to recognize and rate each player. Technology continues to make life easier in all industries, whether through product development or marketing. Here, it allows operators to view and rate any play activity before anyone else. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn about Konami’s system of providing case management through its allowing of administrators to compile reporting, videos, photos, screenshots, file documents, and emails linked to a specific incident or patron in one place. Users with permission can gather and monitor each AML requirement while benefiting from SYNKROS’ data architecture that captures and compiles all necessary AML information automatically with robust results that are close to real-time.

Update: As a result of the coronavirus outbreak, the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) trade show and convention have been postponed until further notice.
