Ontario Maple Roasted Nuts, Granola, Dried Fruit and sauces

Can you tell us about your background and your company?

I graduated with two Masters in Geriatric Health and Public Health all while working full-time as director of support services in Healthcare. Pre all that I journeyed through various kitchens working my way up to the chef. I love the artistry of food. In 2010 my partner and I purchased a 95-plus acre farm in Fergus Ontario. It is here that I rediscovered my love of food. I created a patented process that uses Maple as a preservative, not a sweetener. I started creating roasted nuts using various fruits and vegetables to create the flavor profiles that I have today. When you work in Healthcare you don’t really make nuts for one person you make nuts for 100’s. We planted our first nut trees in 2013 and now have about 600 trees planted. Everything from Almonds to pinenuts. I really started the business for a sustainable life for our daughter who has #Upsyndrome. I have now 2022 repositioned the company to be very inclusive and open to children with disabilities.

Any news products?

New for 2022 would be the move into our new boxes plus we have three new products the Party of 6  two different trays of nuts and we created Salted Caramel Pecan and Orange Vanilla Cream Almond

What kind of clients or partners are you looking for at SIAL?

I am looking for clients that are looking for something new in the nut category but also align with my story of supporting children with disabilities and differences.
