About you and Wunderkammer Brewery?
I’m a brewer by way of Puppeteer. 10yrs experience brewing in Oregon, before moving back to Vermont and brewing here. Started Wunderkammer as a side brand in 2016, and went solo in 2020. I make beers influenced by my Art background and love of foraging. I make mixed culture beer with local ingredients that try to spark a sense of curiosity and reference to brewing’s agricultural roots.
What are you presenting at the Mondial de la Bière?
- Ghosts, (5.8%) is a seance-style smoke beer with mixed culture. Brewed on the yeast from a smoke beer with lichen and mushroom, this beer is possessed by the spirit of the past brew. A very simple beer with complexity from the past.
- Rubus Duel; (5.8%) is a mixed culture fruit beer with local Raspberry and Blackberry.
- Perfect Red King; (5.4%) a wheat beer with mixed culture and Sumac. Sumac harvested from my area lends a lemony and fruit leather quality.
- Shells; (4.5%) a mixed culture beer with goldenrod and honey. Herbaceous and ethereal.
