How long have you been brewing beer and what are the core values of your brewery?
Our brewery, established in July 2023, is proudly new to the scene. Our guiding principle revolves around community; we launched this venture with the aim of enriching our local area. In crafting our beers, we prioritize both quality and experience. While we understand that not every brew will suit everyone’s taste, we believe that each beer offers a unique experience to be shared. Whether it’s the distinct flavors of a particular style or the narrative behind our labels, we take pride in being the storytellers for our customers’ enjoyment.
What makes your beer unique?
Our approach to brewing isn’t solely about being unique; it’s about authentically capturing the essence and history of each beer style to showcase to our customers. Our distinctiveness lies in our commitment to exploring a wide array of beer styles and producing multiple variations of each.
For instance, we’ve crafted 3 NEIPAs, 5 Sours, and 3 different Kolsches, among others. In our taproom, patrons can enjoy a rotating selection of 18 house-crafted beers, all brewed on our 5HL system. We believe this dedication to diversity and depth sets us apart and adds to our uniqueness.
And are you bringing any special beer at the Mundial that we should try?
We are bringing the 3 beers that won awards at the Canadian Beer Cup. Double IPA, and
Music Machine Sour – Gramophone – Guava & Passion Fruit (Catharina Sour). 5.2% 5 IBU – Loads of guava and passionfruit are the key to a tropical beer experience. This sour is refreshing and has a clean sour profile, light mouthfeel, and low bittering.
Dail Up -Altbier 5.3% 30 IBU – The rich maltiness from German malts balances the bitterness of noble hops. With a smooth mouthfeel, this Ale is lagered cold as the traditional German recipes.
Game Over – DPIA 64 – Double IPA 10% 70 IBU – Strong and complex hop aromas and flavor are blended in a rich malt golden beer. Cashmere, Citra, and Galaxy (T-90 + Cryo) create layers of tropical fruits, melon and stone fruits. The extra ABV boosts the combo, and the robust malt base helps to minimize the boozy experience.
What are the plans for the future?
At our brewery, we take pride in crafting a diverse range of beers. Since our inception, we have been recognized with awards for our Imperial Stout, Coffee Kolsch, and at the Canada Cup, our Altbier, Double IPA, and Catharina Sour. These styles showcase our versatility. Since opening we have crafted over 20 beers available in cans and more than 30 unique offerings, including exclusive small-batch taproom releases, we’re committed to ensuring that each visit to our taproom offers a fresh and exciting experience. We firmly believe that beer has the power to drive tourism in our region, and it’s one of our key objectives to grow a vibrant beer culture in our community.
We’re focused on completing our brewery and patio to create a welcoming space for our community. Our immediate priority is to establish a local presence. However, looking ahead, our long-term vision is to expand our reach beyond our taproom and the handful of stores we are already in. We aspire to share our craft beers with enthusiasts across the province of Manitoba, striving to make our brews readily available to all who appreciate them.
