I’m Anya Derevyanko. I am a Russian illustrator.
Your current job :
Since I have just finished my internship and also because now I am enjoying my free time, I will tell about my previous experience. My last job was drawing for animations in a small but rather cool design studio in Italy called ILLO.TV.
In which city are you located?
Now, I am still in Turin, Italy

Emotional
What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
Adobe Illustrator, Wacom Intuos and recently I started to use Procreate a lot. I also try to never forget going out without a black pen and a notebook. I like drawing sketches.
What does your office space look like?
Well, the last one was situated in the city center on the base floor. It was a cozy Italian design studio with a coffee machine, a fancy bike installation and sometimes even with a Vespa inside. I shared a huge long table with other illustrators, motion designers, and other colleagues.
What kind of music do you listen to when you are working?
It depends. I listen to playlists with easy chill-out songs. Could also be with slightly jazzy vibes.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?
Not really. My way of working is very flexible and intuitive. Otherwise, I am not able to draw.
What tips would you give to improve productivity?
Don’t be a perfectionist. Try to enjoy the process and try to find something inspiring and interesting in every project you have.

What is the best advice anyone has given you?
“It’s not a competition anymore”. Helped me a lot.
What is your best tip for saving time?
Easy. Don’t be distracted.
What is your routine start and end of the day?
Will be nice to say my day begins with looking at the mountains (I can really see the Alps from my kitchen), but it’s not true. It starts with checking my Instagram, but the end of a day is usually really nice. I hope, it could be helpful for someone. Just before getting to sleep, I start to remember all moments of a day, I could be grateful for, and also the situations in which I behaved in a good way. And say my thanks.
Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
Nothing, only if a pen would be a gadget.
