Who are you :
I’m Ari Weinkle, an artist and designer.

Your current job :
During the day, I work as a Senior Graphic Designer at ICON. At night, I’m an artist and illustrator.

In which city are you located?
I’m located in Boston, Massachusetts.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :
Diligent.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)
A 27″ iMac which is my primary tool. In terms of software, I live in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Cinema 4D.

What does your office space look like?
My office space is fairly spartan. I like a clean desk and a few pieces of art and design near me.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?
Everything! iTunes is always open. I tend to listen to 5-7 new albums a month. My favorite genres are electronic, indie, and hip-hop.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?
I try to segment things as much as possible. I always work at the same time and for the same amount of time.

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?
Wake up early and turn off distractions. Keep what you are working on front and center.

You’re better than your colleagues to :
I tend to get really into the details. I can spend hours adjusting a curve!

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?
Create everyday even if you don’t feel like it.

What is your best tip for saving time ?
Establish routines. That way, you don’t have to think about what comes next or get caught up in distractions.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?
I wake up early, and stumble to the gym. Next, I take a shower, meditate, have a quick bite to eat. Then, I work until early evening. At night, I work on art, have dinner, and then relax with a book, tv show, or game.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?
My Nikon D600… It’s an amazing camera.
