Who are you : 

Ricardo Martínez. Born in Santiago, Chile. Both my parents were from Spain.

Your current job : 

I’m an Editorial Cartoonist and Illustrator for El Mundo, Spain. I also being represented by Richard Solomon, for whom I’ve done illustrations for several magazines and advertising agencies throughout the world.

In which city are you located? 

Madrid, Spain

A word to define what kind of worker you are : 

Very organized and methodical. Working too many hours! Help!

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..) 

Iphone, iPad, iMac, Twitter, Photoshop, Mail, Google, Photo Booth, paper, pencils, eraser, ink, X-Acto knives…

What does your office space look like? 

It is weird, but it is clean and organized.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ? 

Classical.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ?

I do lists for everything. 

What tips would you give to improve productivity ? 

With time you learn to loose less time and focus in the important things.

You’re better than your colleagues to : 

I’m not better than any of my colleagues in anything.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ? 

My father used to be a painter. Everything he said to me about art was important for my future career.

What is your best tip for saving time ? 

Focusing is the main advice.

What is your routine start and end of the day ? 

I start very early reading the old fashion paper newspapers. – It is important for my Editorial cartoons- That is the first thing I do every day. When I finish I clean everything in my work place, walk home and wind down watching some TV series with the family.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without? 

A Wacom pen tablet
