Published by Leonardo Calcagno

Who are you :

I’m Santiago Usano aka Enisaurus.

Your current job :

I’m currently freelancing as illustrator and graphic designer.

In which city are you located?

London, United Kingdom.

A word to define what kind of worker you are :

hardworker

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

I spend most of my time in front of the computer screen, working with Photoshop, Illustrator and sometimes playing with After Effects. But whenever I can I really love to make things with my own hands, for example playing with ink and colours to create personal and unique textures for my projects.

What does your office space look like?

At the moment my work space it’s pretty small, but it’s enough for my daily work, and I mean at the moment because this year is going to bring plenty of changes in my life. I always try to have it tidy and organised.

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ?

Spotify is my music temple (Kendrick Lamar, Cold War Kids, Editors, Tyler (The Creator), Interpol, Duke Ellington, A$AP Rocky, Vampire Weekend), but I really enjoy listening to any kind of podcast too.

Do you have a way to organise your day to maximise your work ?

Well, I make a list every Monday with every single task to organise my week, it’s like a meeting with myself to realise what is most important and to analyse what I’m doing well or wrong, what would be improvable, etc.

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?

Be organise, don’t abuse of procrastination and hard work.

You’re better than your colleagues to :

Complaining to myself.

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?

Travel, be happy and positive, share your life with someone special, love and respect your family, keep your real friends of your real life, do not lose your mind with the “Likes” and “Follows”, try to do what you love and love what you do, get out of your comfort space sometimes, chase a new habit and keep it for a month at least, meditates, turn off the computer and your fucking phone, make something real.

What is your best tip for saving time ?

I believe that oneself always learn something about everything, just be conscience about your actions and talk with yourself sometimes to realise if your life is going in the way you desire. And turn off your rrss notifications.

What is your routine start and end of the day ?

I wake up at the same hour than my girlfriend, pretty early at the morning. I turn off the plain mode of my phone and turn on my iMac (and my brain), I check my emails and rrss (some professionals say this is a bad habit, because you generate dependence, so don’t do that), and I start working until the dinner time, maybe later.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?

Wacom Tablet.
