Who are you : 

I am Verónica Grech, a spanish illustrator recently awarded at Latin American Illustration Awards. 

Your current job 


In which city are you located? 

I am based in Asturias, a little region in the north of Spain A word to define what kind of worker you are Motivated What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..) My sketchbook and Prismacolor Premier pencils, as well as my MacBook Air and my wacom 

What does your office space look like? 

My office is a studio with two desks and a lot of shelves. One table is for my computer and other for drawing.I love organization and simplicity but sometimes I have a bit of controlled chaos (when I am involved in several projects at same time). I love having all my sketchbooks numbered. 

What kind of music do you listen when you are working ? 

Depends of the project or the project step. When I have to work in hard ideas or produce initial sketches I prefer silence. Moreover, I use the site Noisli (where you can design your own soundtrack based in natural sounds like rain, wind, etc.) Even so, I usually listen jazz or soundtracks. 

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work ? 

I have an ordinary agenda in paper but also I love using Google Calendar, Google keep to do lists and Google Drive for any kind of documents. 

What tips would you give to improve productivity ?

 Focus and turn off the phone. Also I try not to use social media until finishing important things/tasks. You’re better than your colleagues to : I don’t think that I am better in something than my colleagues. Each one have their own style and personality. 

What is the best advice anyone has given you ?

 Work hard and be patient. The rest will follow. What is your best tip for saving time? If you want to do a good work don’t try to saving time. 

What is your routine start and end of the day? 

Reading my mails and the updates of blogs I follow. 

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without? 

A little notebook or sketchbook
