Who are you and your current job?

My name is Jesús Fernández and I am the manager of Kadabra´s brewery. My passion for the world of beer comes from when I was younger and, as many others, I have become my passion into my way of life.

What was the inspiration behind your brewery?  

The main reason to start this project is my passion for this world and everything that surrounds it. We were studying the possibility and feasibility to set up a brewery for two years and then we decided to achieve a dream that we have seen to develop little by little. Our philosophy is to make the best beer possible, using the best raw materials and craft process. We want to make totally natural beers, waiting for the maturation times. The philosophy of our company is the curiosity and this curiosity makes us evolve. And we propose that to our customers try new beers.

Can you give us a tour of your beer scene?

The craft beer is very new here, and we are in the early stages to inform and train the customers. There are enough little breweries and they start to have their own beers and that helps to form this brewing culture that we are beginning to spread. We still have a long way to go, as in the other areas of Spain, the things are going quite fast and I am sure, that in a short time the brewing culture will reach a good level in my geographic zone and across Spain.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a brewery?

My only advice will be from my own experience and training and I would base it on two main pillars, one would be, the respect for the product and another the respect for the customer. The main thing is to be faithful to our romanticism with this beer world that we love.
