Who are you and your current job?

Pommies Cider Co.

What was the inspiration behind your Cider?

It all started with a deep love of real cider. Pommies was established in 2011 by husband and wife team Nick and Lindsay Sutcliffe, who both left their careers in Toronto to move to the country to pursue their dream of producing quality cider. Pommies is proud to be independent, family-owned and family-operated.

Can you give us a tour of your Cider scene?

The Ontario Craft Cider scene has grown drastically over the last few years. Cider is now the fastest growing segment in the LCBO, and Ontario Craft Cider sales have gone up 54 percent alone between 2015 and 2016, and have quadrupled within the last three years. The Ontario Craft Cider Association is also growing and is up to 27 members as of current.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a Cider?

Be passionate and have a true love for cider.
