Who are you

I’m Braian González, aka Bra. A 24-year-old male, visual artist, and owner of the hashtag #MayaWithHair

Your current job

I’m an Art Director at WILDFi by The Electric Factory, working with many different clients such as DIRECTV, Budweiser, New Balance, Honda, and others.

In which city are you located?

Montevideo, Uruguay.

A word to define what kind of worker you are:

detail-oriented and creative.

What tools are essential to your life (app, software, etc..)

My laptop, music, the internet and a great deal of sun.

What does your office space look like?

I share a coworking space with 7 other people, which makes it quite noisy, but nothing a good playlist can’t fix!

What kind of music do you listen when you are working?

When I really have to focus on something, I listen to music that makes me dance. And I always wear headphones to avoid distractions.

Do you have a way to organize your day to maximize your work?

Yes, a to-do list and no multitasking allowed. We work with a lot of clients, if we didn’t have an account manager, everything would probably be a mess!

What tips would you give to improve productivity?

Do one thing at a time, keep the mind into deadlines and do not to fall into the multitasking zone.

You’re better than your colleagues to:

I don’t like saying or thinking that I’m better at something. I just feel I am good at what I do. I’m detail-oriented, proactive and productive, and I like passing on my passions and skills.

What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Two pieces of advice are, don’t let your emotions damage your talents and art, use them to get the best of you instead and ask yourself “is this the best I can do? Could I make something better? How?” and in that moment, you’ll feel your skills grow.

What is your best tip for saving time?

know your skills, know the priority of deadlines, and make a to-do list!

What is your routine start and end of the day?

I wake up, feed my cat, ride my bike to the office, grab a quick breakfast and press the play button on my day. When I leave the office, I like going home, having time for myself, listening to good music, and spending time with people I like. Then I make dinner and have sweet dreams.

Aside from your computer and your phone, what gadget can you not you go without?:

My headphones! I feel naked without listening to music while walking down the street.
