Belmont Stakes Current Odds: Meet The Final 12 Contenders

Published by Programme B

With few more days remaining, the Run For The Carnations, a.k.a. the Belmont Stakes, returns on Saturday, June 20. It is the final leg of the Triple Crown Series but will launch the event this season. The mix and match of Triple Crown races schedule were brought by the Coronavirus pandemic, which took a unique arrangement this year.

Horse racing fans expect a special edition of the Triple Crown this year, and they won’t be disappointed. Even though regulations don’t allow live viewing, fans and bettors alike can watch the action-packed show online. Wagering is also done through online mediums. These changes were put in to make sure that the New York Racing Association (NYRA), owner of Belmont Stakes, abides by the safety measures set by the state to contain the severity of the virus.

Let’s meet the final 12 horses who will clash and contend at the Belmont Park. It is also your basis as you call the shots to bet the Belmont Stakes and successfully win big.

Modernist

Modernist is William I.Mott’s entry to the Belmont Stakes this year. He made five racing accomplishments since his birth. Out of these five games, he landed a 3rd-place finish in the Louisiana Derby and a title in the Risen Star Stakes.

Basin

Started six racing games since birth, Steven Asmussen will take a chance in the Belmont Stakes sending Basin on the field. This colt has been doing great in many stakes races, including a title he won from Runhappy Hopeful Stakes. Aside from that, he placed significantly in other racing games like Arkansas Derby (2nd), Oaklawn Stakes (4th), and Rebel Stakes (3rd).

Farmington Road

Chrysalis Stables will send an entry to the Belmont Stakes through Farmington Road. He’s a Todd Pletcher entry, which already made six racing finishes before. This colt wrestled in the Risen Star Stakes and got fourth-place. Also, he participated at the Arkansas Derby (4th place) and Oaklawn Stakes (2nd place).

Max Player

After winning the Wither Stakes title, Max Player is heading to the Belmont Stakes to vie for the said title. He is the only racehorse sent by a female racehorse trainer, Linda Rice. Max Player has also completed three racing games since birth.

Honor AP

Honor AP captured the hearts of the bettors after he impressively showed a vigorous performance in the Santa Anita Derby. He won the championship title, making his odds value for the Belmont Stakes more convincing. Aside from that, he placed second in the recently concluded San Felipe Stakes.

Gouverneur Morris

This Breeders’ Futurity superstar will prove his worth one more time inside the dirt track as he joins the Belmont Stakes this weekend. Gouverneur Morris, Pletcher’s entry, dazzled in the Florida Derby, which ended in fourth place. After that, he tried his best in the Arkansas Derby but landed only in third-place.

Sole Volante

Sole Volante will also strut at the Belmont Park on Saturday, bringing an impressive horse racing form against other horses. This Pulpit Stakes and Sam F. Davis Stakes winner is a huge Belmont Stakes bet to consider. He also placed in other notable stakes races, such as Mucho Macho Man Stakes (3rd) and Tampa Bay Derby (2nd).

Mischevious Alex

Regardless of a misspelled name, Mischevious Alex is joining the Belmont Stakes lineup as one of the most reliable horses to bet. His trainer, John Servis, does not want to miss the Triple Crown races this year as Mischevious Alex starred in many stakes races. His achievements include Sapling Stakes (2nd), Laurel Futurity (7th), Parx Juvenile Stakes (1st), Swale Stakes (1st), and Gotham Stakes (1st).

Dr Post

His victory in the Unbridled Stakes has brought Dr Post in the Belmont Stakes lineup this weekend. Although he hasn’t competed with other stakes races, his trainer, Todd Pletcher, believes that Dr Post can pull off the competition.

Maxfield

After achieving a title in the Matt Winn Stakes and Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity, Maxfield will take a shot in the upcoming Belmont Stakes. He got an undefeated horse racing form, and his odds value is excellent you might consider in the betting games.

Charlatan

Bob Baffert won’t take a slip in the Belmont Stakes as he will send Charlatan to compete this Saturday. He had completed three horse racing games since birth, including a legendary win in the Arkansas Derby.

Tiz The Law

Tiz the Law completes the list of final 12 contenders for the Belmont Stakes. He is a dark horse to consider in betting as he has the most impressive racing form compared to other horses. He earns three titles from the most famous horse racing games, which are Champagne Stakes, Florida Derby, and Holy Bull Stakes.

Takeaway

The Belmont Stakes this year will be fascinating as the fans can witness the strongest horses in the field. Aside from that, the bettors will also identify who might deserve the Triple Crown prestige this season amidst the halt caused by the Coronavirus. With the final contenders, your chance of earning big in the Belmont Stakes betting lies in your hands.
