The Canadian craft beer industry’s own competition has finally arrived!
The Canada Beer Cup is a brand new, national competition celebrating independently owned and operated breweries across Canada. It showcases quality and innovation in craft beer from coast to coast to coast.
International Judges
Have your beer judged by top international judges, helping bring global attention to Canadian craft brewing excellence. Judges from Europe and the United States, as well as across Canada, will join head judge Stephen Beaumont, one of Canada’s foremost authorities on beer.
NEW! Canadian Style Beer Feature Category
The competition will feature 70 different modernized beer Styles in 10 Categories, influenced by worldwide trends, and also celebrate the uniquely Canadian spirit of craft brewing with the cornerstone “Canadian Style Beer” category.

Canada Beer Cup
The prestigious “Canada Beer Cup” will be awarded to a single distinguished beer, the ‘best-in-show’ as selected by an elite judging panel.
For the Industry, by the Industry
Most importantly, the Canada Beer Cup is a competition for the industry by the industry, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Craft Brewers Association in support of the important work it does on behalf of craft breweries across the country.
Celebrating Canadian Excellence
This year’s competition will present awards in 70 distinct styles across 10 original categories, as evaluated by a panel of elite Canadian and international beer experts, overseen by internationally acclaimed beer writer and author Stephen Beaumont.
We’re also excited to announce our feature category, Canadian Style Beer, which will challenge breweries to submit a beer that is in some way uniquely Canadian, due to ingredients, style, process, or some other element.
Additionally, judges will select a single, stand-out beer to be distinguished as Best In Show. Each year, the brewery behind this winning beer will receive the Canada Beer Cup and have its name engraved alongside previous winners.
Top beers in each province and territory will also be recognized and announced. All beers will be judged objectively using a point scoring system. Breweries will receive an evaluation sheet from the judges for each beer entered.
The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with a provincial/territorial conference each year. The inaugural Canada Beer Cup event will be held on February 16, 2022 at the Ontario Craft Brewers Conference in Niagara Falls.

How To Enter
Entries open on November 17, 2021 at canadabeercup.com and close on December 20, 2021.
Early bird pricing of $75 is available until December 1, 2021. Regular price is $100 per entry. All proceeds go to the Canadian Craft Brewers Association.
