Can you tell us about your background and your company?

At Colibri Vanille, our mission is to create high-quality vanilla products while also promoting eco-responsible practices. We believe in treating the environment with respect and ensuring the sustainability of the communities where our vanilla is grown.

One of our main points of differentiation is our focus on the unique terroirs of vanilla. We source vanilla from the most well-known and respected regions around the world, but we also seek out lesser-known, wild, and rare varieties from the jungles of Mexico and beyond. By highlighting these terroirs, we are able to offer our customers a wider variety of flavors and aromas, and also promote the livelihoods of smallholder farmers who cultivate the vanilla. In addition to our commitment to eco-responsibility and unique terroirs, we are dedicated to producing a range of high-quality vanilla products. We offer whole vanilla pods, vanilla extracts, vanilla paste, and other by-products that are perfect for baking, cooking, and even beverage creation. All of our products are carefully crafted to ensure maximum flavor and aroma, and are packaged in eco-friendly materials whenever possible. Overall, Colibri Vanille strives to provide our customers with the best possible vanilla products while also supporting sustainable and eco-responsible practices.

What are you showcasing at SIAL?
Colibri Vanille is proud to participate this year in SIAL, one of the biggest food events in Canada, for three important reasons. Firstly, the company wishes to showcase the products newly distributed by Gordon. Secondly, it aims to introduce its new collection of grocery products, winner of the 2022 Innovation Award at CTAQ, one of which was selected by the jury for the SIAL INNOVATION award. And finally, perhaps the most exciting reason, SIAL Toronto will be the place of Colibri Vanille’s world launch of the ancestral Maya vanilla. This rare and sought-after variety is incredibly aromatic and enchanting. We are excited to share it with SIAL visitors.
What kind of clients or partners are you looking for at SIAL?
We are looking for businesses that are interested in enhancing the flavor of their products by using natural vanilla in their preparations. Whether it’s ice cream makers, yogurt producers, kombucha manufacturers, brewers, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, or fine food stores, we have the products that suit their needs. We would also like to meet passionate restaurateurs who strive to offer exceptional flavors to their customers and who are interested in working with our extraordinary MAYA vanilla.
